Happy Christmas from Blackstairs Ecotrails

Not long to go now till 25th. Days are short here in the Blackstairs and with fog hanging over us today, there was virtually no daylight. We are busy here getting ready our new programme which we will launch in January 2013. Lots of new ventures and all of the old favourites.

We will cater for  families with small children; interesting wild life walks looking at anything that wriggles, squirms or flies; for leisure walkers we will have several trails winding through the foothills of the Blackstairs along green  roads and sidling along the River Barrow; for foodies we will host foraging workshops , what we like to call, find it, pick, it cook it ,eat it days; wild mushroom hunts, wild life photography days and much more.

Robert and I would like to thank all our Ecotrailers  who came to us in  2012. We have met so many  wonderful walkers from all  round the globe. Thank you for coming to us.

We look forward to meeting many of you again in 2013 and to new visitors who might like to come to the beautiful Blackstairs and the Barrow Valley area,  a warm welcome, delicious home cooking and a very friendly dog called Juno awaits you.

Good health, peace and happiness to one and all for Christmas  and the New Year.
